Vignoble Barreau

Located in Gorges, in the village of La Cornulière, the Vignoble Barreau is passed down from generation to generation.

Jean-Philippe took over the estate in 2009, he is the 5th generation of the Gaillard family, then Barreau and has perpetuated the family tradition in the historic cellar.

Labeled HVE (High Environmental Value) and Independent Winegrower, the vines are worked with care in respect of biodiversity.

The estate extends over 28 hectares, around the estate as well as 8 hectares at the Château de la Bourdonnière and in the commune of Mouzillon.

The Vignoble Barreau produces around 80,000 bottles a year as well as bags-in-boxes. 18 hectares of vines are reserved solely for Muscadets and Cru Gorges. The rest of the estate offers close-up, sparkling wines and white, rosé and red IGPs.

The tasting cellar is open by appointment.

Two open houses are organized each year: one at the end of May and one on the second weekend of December.

The Vignoble Barreau exports its wines to Belgium, Germany and Finland. It is present in restaurants on the Atlantic coast, Brittany and in wine shops in the far west and the North.

The estate received the Bronze Medal for its Muscadet sur lie 2021 in Paris, the Silver Medal for the Interloire competition and the Gold Medal for the cantonal competition of Clisson.
